But why is it so special? People usually use Wakeboard towers, pylons, and other ski tow bars to tow their inflatables, but that turns out wrong more often.

Almost all of them have a manufacturer’s warning stating that it’s not safe to tow inflatables, and doing so can damage the boat or hurt the passenger.

But TurboSwing is the only tube-rated tow bar on the market. It offers towing capacity more than any towing product in the market, which gives them an upper hand.

The main reason for its outstanding performance is its design. Made from 316 Stainless steel, it is designed to fit the existing outboard motor bracket. That gives it the perfect location and the durability it needs. The motor is the heart of the boat and is no doubt the strongest place.

The first thing to note is its excellent curved design that provides the best tow experience and ensures engine safety. On impact, its design ensures that the engine remains safe, which is impressive. Once installed, it’s time to have fun.

For pulling, it offers an EZ Pulley. Now, this thing is fantastic. It has a roll-on design that lets it swing sideways and provides smooth, consistent pulls. It improves your angle and reduces the jerk on the tow rope. Believe me; it gives the best two experiences.

Earlier, I used to attach a tow rope to my transom, which never worked as expected. The pulls weren’t smooth or consistent, the rope remained underwater, and going sideways was impossible.

I tried everything, and this is “the thing” that you need. And why only you, even your partner, can join the ride, but for that, you need another pulley—one pulley per person. So, get another one if you want your friends/family to have fun alongside you. Now, let’s talk about the main part, i.e., the setup.

The TurboSwing tow bar has an instruction manual, which isn’t really helpful if you ask me. But don’t worry, I got you. Below is the installation video; just seeing it once will clear all your doubts. The installation process hardly takes an hour, so it isn’t as confusing as it may sound.

Installing TurboSwing Ski Tow Bar –

If the video doesn’t seem to work for you, below are the written instructions.

1. Head over to the outboard engine and locate the existing motor brackets.

2. Then, from the top motor bracket bolt, remove the existing nut and washer.

3.  Now, you have to determine where to drill your holes for installing the bar. You can use a baseplate as a guide, but make sure the thing is accurate. Leaving 1-2 holes b/w the original and new hole is recommended.

4. Ensure you have access to the inner transom, at least to the place where it’ll be drilled.

5.  Using a 1/2″ or 12mm drill, place a hole directly through the existing motor bracket. Make sure it’s long enough to go all the way in.

6. Once drilled, add sealant(Non-PVC or Non-Silicon) into the newly drilled hole and around the opening to ensure a tight seal. Please don’t overdo it, have a balance.

7. Then insert the M12 x 120 bolt with the washer into the hole from the inside transom. The bolt will carry all the extra sealant; make sure to clean it up.

8. With the bar, you get a base plate too. Take the TurboSwing base plate and put it over the two bolts. Then it’s just redoing things. Insert the nut and washer and tighten it to the engine manufacturer’s recommended torque.

9. Now, you have to install the original nut and washer from the motor bracket bolt and tighten it securely to the recommended torque.

10. Repeat the steps on the other side. Simple as that!

My Personal Experience –

Before stumbling over to the costly option, I have tried many things, i.e., this tow bar. Initially, I found it costly, so I ignored it for long enough, thinking that I may find something suitable for cheap.

Unfortunately, after a long list of failures, I finally gave it a try, and now I feel foolish not having it in the first place. All the facepalm movement and ruined trips were just not worth it.

Of course, I still find it costly, but I am happy with it since it does the work. I know you must be really confused about spending your money, but it’s a one-time investment that will yield for a long.

And you can have a lot of fun with it, don’t forget about the kids as well. My suggestion will be to try it, and I am sure you will love it. It’s just amazing and is probably the best ski tow bar for outboards. Just give it a try.
